10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Location:
Buena Creek Gardens
In this class we will focus on flowers and vegetation (things that grow in the ground). At Buena Creek Gardens, where I hold many of my drawing classes, we have access to 4 lovely acres of garden.
First we will review the 5 KEYS of Observational Drawing to shift our minds into “perceptual thinking”. Then we will go out to look for and draw flowers. You are welcome to photograph any plant that catches your eye or melts your heart and draw from the photograph. Flowers, vegetables, herbs, trees, ground cover and bushes all offer a beautiful way to contemplate your own growth and blossoming. Everything that grows expresses the complete cycle of life. We are all budding, blossoming and taking form according to some inner design, then fading and dissolving back into eternal formlessness where everything, including you and me eventually return.
Sign up for this class and we will explore the thrilling beauty of flowers together!
